popular opinion
before resigning as a dvd reviewer at dvdtalk.com, i sent an email to the owner stating (in part) the following:
"Somewhere along the way on DVD Talk, it think the purpose of reviews got lost, as they are opinion and therefore subjective. Well, I always knew I wasn’t a follower, and this proved it! I tend to be the opposite of mainstream, but I don’t think that’s what your readers want to hear."
to me, a review is an opinion. if people are basing everyday decisions, including what to eat, watch and listen to, based soley on other people's opinions, i say GET A LIFE!
