busy bee
i'm sorry i've been so busy i haven't had time to blog. what have i been doing, you ask? planning a monster of a cross-country trip, buying dog paraphernalia for our soon-to-be greyhound, working my ass off to get ahead for the trip, dog sitting, rinse, repeat.
we've had macy since thursday afternoon, so at least we had a legitimate reason to be at the dog park last night. and when we were leaving, there was a guy walking down the driveway smoking and holding a toy that some of the dogs had been playing with in the park, and he was sans dog. i said to mike, "that guy was in the park and he didn't even have a dog with him!" and then mike looked at me and i realized how stupid i sounded, being that we've been to the park without a dog more than with lately.
i also had a small panic attack this weekend when i realized our trip was looming on the horizon. as mike noted, it's only natural that i will be anxious about leaving home, since i'm here at least 20 hours a day. it's my comfort zone. after all, nobody likes change.

wow, you have been busy! i'm tired just reading about your stuff right now.
as i'm trying to tell myself right now, go easy on yourself. your trip will be fun and so will being away. try not to focus on the trip as a whole but rather the wide, open road alongside your sweet husband and long bright days full of neverending adventure and yummy road food.
