inquiring minds want to know
so i know it's no p.c. to talk about money amongst friends, but i need to know. do most people have a running $1k balance in their checkbook (bank account) from month to month? is this normal (and something i was not aware of)? sure, in a perfect world that would be great, but we all know the world we live in is a far cry from perfect.

um, $1000? anywhere? uh, no. we run our checking down to nada every month (bills, expenses) and have unfortanately almost done the same to our savings lately. now we're back on a mission to bulk up the savings again. sigh...
someone once told me they were worried cause their checking was down under $3,000, and i just had to walk away. back to the planet where i live. where this just isn't happening.
